  Senior Macroeconomist (f/m)  
Functions 
 
As part of the CEPII's research programme, the incumbent will manage a team of six researchers in macroeconomic policy. In coordination with CEPII’s direction, he/she will elaborate the annual research programme and research report. He/she will follow the research, provide advice and organise dissemination. He/she will also carry out research on macroeconomic policy issues.

The incumbent will promote and disseminate his/her research using a variety of supports: academic journals, collective publications for French and international organisations, publications for the general public, communications for business economists and the press, and participation in working groups.

He/she will provide substantive support to the organisation of seminars and other events, and be involved in the various international research networks in which the CEPII takes part.

He/she must be interested in economic policy and current economic affairs, which he/she should be able to address, and must be able to adapt his/her own research interests to the needs of the CEPII.

 
Requirements 
 
Candidates should have:
a PhD or equivalent,
and
at least a 6 years experience in the fiels of applied research in macroeconomics.

They must be at ease with the latest econometric techniques and computer programmes generally used in this field. They must have a deep knowledge of macroeconomic theory and recent modelling techniques. Candidates need also be aware of key current economic policy issues. Teamwork must be appreciated, and candidates should be able to speak and write in English. Knowledge of French will be appreciated but not required. Good drafting skills, a strong interest in current economic affairs and economic policy, clear reasoning, the ability to take responsibilities and personal commitment are great assets to meet the job requirements.

 
Term 
 
The appointment is for a fixed term of 3 years, which is renewable.
